Benefits

| Holiday Pay is available after 720 hours (90 working days) of full-time continuous employment. The following holidays are recognized as paid holidays by 1st Choice: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Paid Time Off (PTO) is available after 2080 hours (1 year) of full-time continuous employment. PTO is calculated on an accrual basis (ex: .10 days allowed per 40 hour week equals approximately 5 days per year). Overtime does not count towards PTO. |
| It is required that you work the day before and day after the holiday unless pre-scheduled for time off. All PTO days must be pre-approved by your supervisor. If you choose to use PTO as sick leave, you must follow the procedure of giving a 2-hour notice prior to your start time and your supervisor will then notify accounting. No days off will be paid after the fact. PTO not used prior to termination is forfeited. |
| Completion Bonus of
50 cents per hour, retroactive from the beginning of the assignment,
is given for good attendance and timeliness on certain assignments. |
|
Referral Bonus of $50 for referring a
candidate who works a temporary assignment for 2 weeks (80 hours) or more. For
a referral who is placed on a permanent basis, you will receive a $100 bonus
at the end of the placement guarantee
period.

Responsibilities
|
| Always keep us informed of any changes in status or interest regarding
employment. If you are available to work on a temporary basis, call us! |
| While working temp, all sick calls, late arrivals, or absences should be
reported at least one hour prior to start time. If you choose to terminate
your employment please give us at least a one week notice (and preferably two
weeks). CALL US, NOT THE CLIENT.

Let us know what advertised positions you are interested in.
|
|
If you plan to send resumes for a particular position, please notify us
first so that we do not duplicate efforts. We often have exclusive positions
not listed in the newspaper.
|
|
Please notify us of any changes in your address, tax withholding, name or
marital status, and phone numbers. All paychecks and W-2’s are mailed
according to the information you provide.
|
|
Your relationship with the 1st Choice staffing specialists is important! We
are available to you from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, and offer
voice mail outside of regular office hours. It is vital that you keep in
touch.
|
|
|
|
1st Choice Responsibilities
|
|
While you are working temporary, the staffing specialist will act as your
supervisor.
|
|
We will keep you informed of schedules and duration of
assignments, as well as resolve any work-related issues.
|
|
We will always
prepare you on "how to interview" and what attire is acceptable for
a position.
|
|
|
|
Pay Periods
|
| All temporaries are hourly employees and wages vary from job to job. You
are paid based on the actual hours worked. Our work week is Monday through
Sunday. Signed timecards are due in our office by 10:00am on the
following Monday. You may fax your timecard and mail the original. Paychecks
are mailed the following Wednesday via US mail. If you would rather pick up
your check, please indicate so on your timecard or call us before noon on
Wednesday. |

References
|
| References are checked on all candidates. Please include 3 names and phone
numbers of supervisors or professional acquaintances who could vouch for your
work history. |

|
|
Injuries
|
| If you are injured while on a temporary assignment, please notify us As
Soon As Possible! An accident report must be filed within 24 hours! |
|
|
|
You may need to update your W-4 tax form if you:
|
- Were married or divorced in the past year.
- Changed addresses
- Gained or lost a dependent
- Changed your name
- Had major changes in non-wage income
- Had major changes to your family wage income, itemized deductions or your
tax credits
|
|
Please come in and fill out a new form
if any of these situations apply. |
